Getting Started:
To see anything on the front page, you will have to put together three pieces of content:
1) Theme Sections
2) Section Rows
-edited under "theme sections" tab
3) Section Elements
Here's what it looks like:
Let create this baby!
To make it look the way it looks, we will have to assign:
- background
- text section element with booking form short code
- row into which we will insert booking form
- XY section element with slider
- promotion row with the slider elements
Let’s do this step by step:
1) Create section element for booking form
a) go to appearance -> section elements -> text -> add new text element
b) insert name, title and in TEXT area insert booking from short code: [carrental_book_box] (List of Shortcodes)
c) Confirm and save
2) Create section element for slider
a) Go to appearance -> section elements -> promotion -> add new promotion element
b) Fill out all the fields
c) Confirm & save
3) Create a section with background
a) Go to appearance -> theme sections -> add new section
b) Call it booking section just to keep track
A few crucial settings:
c) Displayed: Yes (otherwise it will be hidden)
d) Transparency: 100% (otherwise picture will now show and you will only see colour)
e) Background image: upload your image of choice
f) Scroll down, Confirm & Save
4) Create a section row and insert booking form
a) Go to appearance -> theme sections -> modify you existing section created in previous step and scroll down
b) Add text row
c) Select row layout properties- let’s do full width for now
d) Drag the element you created previously containing booking form into the empty box
e) save
f) Check out your page-> it should be showing booking form now
5) Create a section row and insert slider
a) Go to appearance -> theme sections -> modify you existing section created two steps before
b) Add new promo row
c) Drag the element you created previously containing promo into the empty box
d) save
e) Check out your page-> it should be showing booking form and promo now
This type of logic can be applied to any type of element, visual, etc.
